Piano Competition in Odessa: Celebrating Young Talents

On February 28, 2025, the Golden Hall of the Odessa Literature Museum hosted the awards ceremony and concert for the winners of the III International Piano Music Competition "The Universe of J.S. Bach." The event featured young musicians from Odessa, Kyiv, Dnipro, Myrhorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, and China.

The competition aims to support gifted students from specialized art schools, promote the national tradition of piano performance, popularize polyphonic works by Ukrainian composers, and enhance the polyphonic skills of young pianists.

"This unique competition has been held for the third consecutive year, uniting us through the music of the genius German composer Johann Bach. Such events foster connections between cultural institutions in Odessa and Europe," said Ivan Liptuga, the director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council.

The laureates showcased their skills in performing works by J.S. Bach, and the winners received diplomas and awards.

The competition was founded by the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council. The organizer of the event was the Odessa School of Arts No. 3.
