Celebration of Bulgarian Culture in Odessa
On October 26, 2024, Odessa hosted an event titled "Celebration of Bulgarian Culture", honoring the contributions of Bulgarians to Ukraine's cultural landscape.
The event featured various groups from the Odessa region, including:
- the folk dance ensemble "Bessarabia" from Bolgrad (leader - Petar Dimitrov);
- the dance ensemble "Kulevchantsi" from the village of Kulevcha, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district (leader - Anastasia Kimurzhy);
- the dance ensemble "Kamchik" from the village of Kamchik, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district (leader - Svitlana Sulakova).
Also performing was the renowned Bulgarian singer Desi Dobreva, whose songs inspired the audience to participate in traditional Bulgarian "horo" dances.
This concert was part of the multicultural weeks in Odessa, organized by the Odessa Municipal Theatre named after O. Salik.
