Competition to Promote the Ukrainian Language in Odesa

In an effort to support the Ukrainian language among residents of Odesa, a social advertising competition titled «Promotion of the Ukrainian Language» will take place from October 29 to November 29, 2024.

The main goal of the competition is to increase awareness of the Ukrainian language, cultivate respect and love for it, demonstrate its beauty, and encourage youth to study it and develop their national identity.

The competition will be held in two phases:
Phase I - acceptance of submissions;
Phase II - evaluation of works by a panel of judges to determine the winners.

To participate, interested individuals must send their application to the email address of the Department of Internal Policy of the Odesa City Council: dep_vp@omr.gov.ua (with the note «Social Advertising Competition»).

Requirements for submissions:
1. Technical requirements:
- posters can be created graphically or hand-drawn.

2. Works must be original and unpublished previously.

3. By submitting their works, participants must adhere to the following conditions:
- content must not contradict the laws of Ukraine;
- text should be concise, clear, and original;
- emotional elements (color, font, drawings, etc.) should be present;
- no false information is allowed;
- works must align with the competition’s theme;

4. Submissions must not contain:
- authors' names, contact information, commercial symbols, political statements or symbols;
- images of violence, discrimination, or offensive content;
- materials that demean individuals or groups;
- promotion of bad habits;
- infringement of intellectual property rights;

5. Works must be written in the Ukrainian language.

6. All submissions must comply with moral and ethical standards and not violate the law.

7. By submitting their works, participants automatically consent to the processing of their personal data in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.

8. Participants confirm that they are the authors of their works and bear responsibility for the legality of the content used.

9. Works that are:
- non-compliant with competition requirements;
- contain plagiarism;
- submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
