Children's Contest: Fairy Tale Characters from UNESCO Cities
Odesa and Wrocław are cities renowned for their literary heritage. Wrocław is famous for its gnomes, with over a thousand of them symbolizing various professions and activities. These charming figures adorn not only the streets but also cafes, libraries, and pharmacies.
On October 25, 2024, the children’s contest «Fairy Tale Heroes of UNESCO Literary Cities» will kick off in Odesa.
Children are encouraged to draw their favorite gnomes and write stories about them. Submissions will be accepted until November 25, 2024, via email at: igо189188@gmail.com.
Works must be in A3 or A4 format, and stories should not exceed 5,000 characters.
All entries will be showcased on the contest's webpage.
A jury from Odesa and Wrocław will select the best works, and winners will receive awards. All entries will be featured in an exhibition, and the stories will be published in a special gnome book.
This contest aims to strengthen cultural ties between Odesa and Wrocław.
