Final Event of the EU4Culture Project in Chișinău

The city of Chișinău (Moldova) is hosting a two-day closing event for the EU4Culture project, an initiative by the European Union aimed at promoting cultural development in Eastern Partnership countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

The event features representatives from various cities, as well as artists and cultural sector professionals who have developed their Strategies under the EU4Culture program. Participants exchanged experiences and discussed building national and international partnerships.

"Odesa joined the project only in mid-2023, yet within a year, it has made significant and systematic achievements,"

- noted Ivan Liptuga, Director of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration of the Odesa City Council.

He shared insights about the "Odesa Cultural Development Strategy 2025-2035" — a document that will serve as a foundation for the city's cultural development, along with other important initiatives:

- guide on preserving Odesa's cultural heritage;

- manual for Odesa's signage;

- visualization of Odesa's symbols  — the creation of 3D models of iconic city symbols and more.

The strategic vision for Odesa's cultural development was formulated in collaboration with cultural figures, representatives of creative industries, and NGOs. The document will be presented to the Odesa City Council for consideration.
