Celebrating 50 Years of Artistic Excellence at School No. 6
On December 1, 2024, Art School No. 6 celebrated its 50th anniversary.
In honor of this milestone, a festive concert was held at the school, where young musicians showcased their skills on instruments such as piano, guitar, violin, and bandura, as well as performing vocal, choral, and dance numbers, representing all areas of work at Art School No. 6.
Teachers received awards from the Mayor of Odessa and the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration.
“Art brings us all together. Teachers help students master their craft, and students showcase their art, bringing glory to the school and Odessa. A huge thank you to the parents for supporting their children and engaging them in the arts, which aid us all on our cultural front,” said Lyudmila Kryzhalko, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture.
Since its opening in 1974, the school has produced many talented musicians. Currently, 45 teachers work here, educating 385 students across various departments.
Students are participants and laureates of numerous concerts, competitions, and festivals, including international events: Simfonia Krakowska, Piano-music, “Musical Wave,” Polska wiosna, and others.
