Festive Event at the Odessa Zoo
On December 24th, a memorable event took place at the Odessa Zoo – the ceremonial transfer of the Bethlehem Fire of Peace, brought to our city by Raisa Kraieva, the leader of the "Samotsvit" children's and youth creativity center.
The Bethlehem Fire of Peace is an international scout event held annually before Christmas. The main goal is to spread the symbolic flame, lit at the birthplace of Jesus Christ, around the world. This flame symbolizes good deeds and support.
Representatives of the Black Sea Flotilla of Young Sailors and volunteers also attended the ceremony.
During the gathering, festive greetings were exchanged, along with many warm words and sincere wishes for peace.
This initiative was supported by Elena Alexeyenko, an honorary cultural worker of Ukraine.
