Details: The Office of the President of Ukraine confirmed the meeting with Trump took place but did not provide further information. Reports indicate that the meeting lasted approximately 15 minutes.

This meeting was the first after a heated discussion in the Oval Office in Washington in February and occurred at a critical moment for peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

"President Trump and President Zelensky met privately and discussed important matters. More information about the meeting’s outcomes will be released later," said Stephen Chung, White House communications director.

Trump, urging both sides to reach a ceasefire agreement, stated on Friday that his envoy had productive talks with the Russian side, calling for a high-level meeting between Kyiv and Moscow to finalize an agreement.

Earlier, media reported that the Trump administration provided Ukraine with a document in Paris outlining a peace proposal. Specifically, the USA is prepared to recognize Russia's control over Crimea and ease sanctions against Moscow.

President Zelensky noted on April 24 that the USA presented its strategy regarding Ukrainian territories during talks in London, but after the proposal, "another document appeared."
