Inclusive Beach Renovation in Odesa

A representative from the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights in the Odesa region, Maria Popova, has inspected the preparations for the inclusive beach at Delfin ahead of the summer recreation season.

Currently, work is underway to install pathways, and regular inspections of all recreational areas are being conducted with a focus on accessibility: representatives of the authorities, along with the expert group from the Barrier-Free Council, which includes veterans and people with disabilities, are visiting these locations.

Maria Popova confirmed that the preparations are proceeding as planned, and the city will ensure the complete functionality of the beach, including water supply, sewage, and other essential services.

“If there are no obstacles to opening it, we expect the launch of the updated inclusive beach,” emphasized the representative of the Commissioner.

Chairman of the Primorsky District Administration, Marat Korolev, noted that another inclusive beach is being prepared for opening this season at the 11th station of the Great Fountain, where renovation work is ongoing to meet accessibility standards.

All matters related to the preparation of inclusive locations, including beaches, for the health season are personally overseen by Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov.

It is worth mentioning that 2025 has been declared the Year of Accessibility in Odesa.
