Commemoration of Holodomor Victims in Odesa
A memorial ceremony took place on Hetman Sahaidachny Boulevard in Odesa to honor the victims of the Holodomor. Participants laid flowers and arrangements of rye and wheat ears at the memorial.
A moment of silence was observed to remember those who perished due to famine.
On this day, memorial services are held in Odesa's churches for the victims of the famines.
In the evening, at 16:00, residents of Odesa will join the nationwide moment of silence and light a Candle of Memory in their windows, paying tribute to those who suffered under the Stalinist regime.
