Celebrating Ukrainian Language and Defenders Evening
On October 25, in the heart of Odesa — near the Rotunda of the City Garden — a significant event took place, combining two important occasions:
The Day of the Ukrainian Language, celebrated on October 27, and the Evening of Gratitude for Ukraine's Defenders.
A joint prayer of thanksgiving was held with the participation of representatives from the Council of Churches and religious organizations of the city and region.
Performances were given by: Nikole Pinchuk, Sofia Kozubenko, the dance ensemble «Divchata» of the Dalnytsia village council, the pop-folk ensemble «Strings of the Heart», students of the Odesa College of Arts named after K. F. Dankevych (director — Olena Bortnikova), the orchestra of the Military Music Center of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (conductor — Lyubomyr Sukennyk), the brotherly choir of the Odesa People’s Church, Oleksandr Duzhykov, the vocal duet Artem Starushchenko and Oleksandra Vysotska, and the bands «SVITANOK» and «Victory».
The event was organized by the KP «Parks of Odesa», the Chaplaincy Community of Odesa region, and the Council of Churches and religious organizations of Odesa city and region.
Partners of the event included: Veterans HUB Odesa, NGO «Families of Light Angels», NGO «WITHOUT BORDERS», NGO «Legion 12», Charitable Foundation «Good Samaritan», Charitable Foundation «Reformation», Charitable Foundation «Grow in Family», NGO «Live Life», NGO «Mother's Hands», DNP «Center for Mother and Child», NGO «Community Pulse», and the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders.
