A New Tradition for Outstanding Students in Odesa
A new wonderful tradition has been launched in Odesa - to recognize the best graduates of the city’s schools for their outstanding academic achievements with a special award from the mayor called «Pride of Odesa».
“Children and youth have always been our greatest asset. In our welcoming city, they deserve sincere congratulations, support, and belief in their future.”
We used to call them medalists. Today, they are the Pride of Odesa. There are nearly 700 of them. I would say - they are not only the pride but also the great hope of our city and the entire country.
May each of them realize their potential, gain a profession, and together build a strong and modern Ukraine!” - congratulated the graduates the mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The «Pride of Odesa» award is given to students of public secondary education institutions within the territorial community of Odesa who have received specialized secondary education and achieved scores of 10 to 12 in all subjects of their profile education based on their annual assessment in the 11th (12th) grade and state final certification (if conducted).
