Innovative Youth Festival: Brain Fest Unveiled
The first festival for innovative youth, Brain Fest: Summer of Ideas, took place in Odessa, organized within the R&D Hub initiative supported by the Odessa Regional State Administration.
This event brought together 24 teams of students from vocational colleges and technical lyceums who presented their startup ideas in IT, design, ecology, and medicine.
The festival served as a vibrant platform for showcasing creativity and entrepreneurial skills, facilitating partnerships and mentorship opportunities.
An esteemed jury, composed of representatives from business and government, evaluated the projects.
The winners were:
1st place - the team Honest and Open from the Odessa Pedagogical College.
Their project is an online support platform for teenagers, offering anonymous communication and emotional assistance.
2nd place - the team FeedPaws from the Mechanical Technology College.
The idea is a 'smart' feeder for stray cats with recognition and food dosage features.
3rd place - the team Falcon’s Nest from the Odessa Professional Lyceum.
Their development is an eco-bag for FPV drones, ensuring safe delivery of essentials to military personnel.
The winners received valuable prizes along with invaluable experience.
“Creative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit shape the future of a strong, innovative, and competitive Ukraine. By investing in young ideas, we build a foundation for the future,” said the organizers.
Brain Fest was not just a celebration of ideas but a practical tool for engaging youth in real change. All participants had the chance to find mentors and partners for their projects.
