Rapid Recovery for Affected Residents of Odesa
Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, has affirmed that all necessary actions will be taken to ensure that residents of the damaged building return home as soon as possible.
During an onsite meeting, the mayor spoke with residents of the building on Yaroslav Mudry Avenue, which was struck by a drone on May 1st.
Experts who conducted an assessment deemed the structure unsafe, necessitating temporary relocation of residents for emergency repair work. They will be offered assistance through the city's rental compensation program.
«An extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council is scheduled for May 13, where councilors will decide on funding for the stabilization of the building and the restoration of upper floors. Prior to this, the technical report will be reviewed by the regional emergency commission. We will do everything possible to ensure families return to their homes as quickly as possible,» the mayor stated.
