Inspection of the Ecological Condition of the Black Sea Gully
On April 29, 2025, a commission inspected the natural environment of the Black Sea gully, stretching from the Old Lustdorf road to the «Chornomorka» beach in Odessa.
The commission included representatives from the Department of Ecology, Kyiv District Administration, Department of Municipal Services, Engineering Protection Administration, and the city’s «Urban Roads» and «Infoksvodokanal» branches.
During the inspection, it was found that some private households were discharging household sewage directly into the Black Sea gully. However, no wastewater from the gully was recorded entering the sea at the «Chornomorka» beach.
Following the inspection, relevant authorities were instructed to promptly eliminate the identified illegal sewage discharges and to take measures to find the responsible parties and hold them accountable.
A check of other areas of the Black Sea gully will also be conducted to prevent possible unauthorized discharges of household waste.
