Fatal Car Crash on Odessa-Mykolaiv Road
It is important to note that the tragic incident happened on April 28, 2025, during the day on the M-14 highway connecting Odessa and Mykolaiv, near the village of Vyzirka.
According to Dmitry Slyuta, head of the transport crimes investigation department of the Odesa police, it has been preliminarily established that a female driver of a «Toyota», while attempting to overtake, caused a collision involving two passenger cars and a truck.
As a result of the crash, one driver of the passenger car lost their life. Two other drivers and one passenger were taken to the hospital with various injuries.
The scene was attended by an investigative operational group from the Odesa police department, patrol police, and representatives from police station No. 3 of the Odesa District Police.
Investigators have entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to violations of road safety rules resulting in death or severe bodily harm.
A series of expert examinations will be conducted as part of the investigation to clarify all circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations, exercise caution, and carefully observe the road situation.
