Accessibility Initiative in Odesa
In collaboration with the Ministry of Development, work is underway in Odesa on the initiative “Barrier-Free Routes,” aimed at creating a comfortable environment for all citizens.
The Barrier-Free Council has launched a comprehensive survey of all tram routes in Odesa.
From April 23 to 25, experts are assessing how accessible electric transport truly is for everyone. The routes being examined include: №№11, 13, 17, 18, 5, 10, and 28, with further checks planned for routes №№ 21, 15, and 12.
During the inspections, the condition of platforms, access to stops, and the accessibility of trams are being evaluated.
All collected data, observations, and recommendations will be organized and presented at the next Barrier-Free Council meeting.
The goal is not just to identify issues but to initiate a clear mechanism for change.
