Gas Explosion in Odesa: Casualties and Consequences
Earlier today, a gas explosion occurred on Marselska Street in Odesa, igniting an apartment on the first floor of a nine-story building.
Rescue teams swiftly responded to the incident, extinguishing the fire and preventing it from spreading to adjacent apartments.
Unfortunately, the apartment's owner, born in 1981, sustained burns covering 35% of his body and has been admitted to the burns unit for treatment. Additionally, a female worker from a nearby salon, born in 1987, suffered minor cuts from shattered glass.
Psychologists from the emergency services were on-site providing support to local residents.
A total of 9 firefighting units and 33 firefighters were deployed to address the situation.
