Easter Ceasefire Announced
Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared an «Easter ceasefire».
This ceasefire is set to last from 6 PM on April 19 until midnight on April 21.
The announcement was made during a press briefing.
Putin stated, «I order all combat actions to cease during this period. We expect the Ukrainian side to follow our example».
He added that Russian forces must be prepared to respond to any violations of the ceasefire.
As of 5:30 PM, the Ukrainian authorities had not commented on this initiative.
