Odessa Region: The Grape Leader of Ukraine Amidst Challenges
The Odessa region ranks first in Ukraine for grape cultivation, with 58% of this crop produced in our area. Even amid the war, there is a significant increase in the agricultural sector.

Odessa's Leadership
In addition to grape growing, Odessa is also the leader in the number of sheep and goats, with 28% of these animals residing in our region. We also rank first in barley production, accounting for 18% of the national volume. Wheat and rapeseed show strong figures as well, each at 11%.
Growth Despite Adversity
Despite the challenging economic situation, Odessa has achieved significant growth in crop cultivation and sheep farming over the three years of war, with an increase of +8.6%. In contrast, some regions are experiencing decline, such as Mykolaiv with -16.8%, Sumy with -14.9%, and Chernihiv with -6.7%. The highest growth was recorded in Kyiv (+23.2%).
