Tragic Fire Incident in Peresyp: A Life Lost
On the evening of Saturday, April 12, 2025, firefighters in Odessa responded to a blaze in the Peresyp district. The fire claimed the life of an elderly woman.
According to reports from the regional State Emergency Service, the fire broke out in a flat on Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue, affecting doors and parquet flooring.
At the scene, the body of the apartment's owner, born in 1940, was discovered.
The cause of the fire and the damages incurred are currently being investigated.
As per the State Emergency Service data, there were 19 fires reported in the Odessa region in the past day, five of which occurred in Odessa and 14 across the region.
