Merging Maritime Universities in Odesa: A New Educational Era
Two leading maritime educational institutions in Odesa have decided to join forces to form a single academic entity. This decision was made during a meeting involving the Ministry of Education and Science and the leadership of the National University "Odesa Maritime Academy" and the Odesa National Maritime University.
The meeting addressed various aspects of the merger, including timelines and management of the process. Participants agreed that this union would be a significant step towards improving the maritime education system in Ukraine.
The main goal of this initiative is to establish a strong, modern maritime university that meets contemporary demands.
Previously, there were reports about the academy being integrated into the university, which sparked some controversy among its leadership.
