Young Linguists and Geographers of Ukraine Gathered in Chernivtsi
From March 24 to 28, Chernivtsi hosted the best young linguists and philologists of Ukraine. The IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Ukrainian Language and Literature for students of grades 8-11 was held here.
In a challenging intellectual competition among 136 participants from 24 regions of Ukraine, the winner of the Olympiad was Dіdіk Anastasia, an 11th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 38 (teacher Maksutina Olena).
Anastasia demonstrated not only solid knowledge of the subjects but also creative thinking, analytical skills, a creative approach, and a deep love for the Ukrainian language.
From March 31 to April 4, the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Geography took place in Chernivtsi. About 150 participants from all regions of Ukraine took part. The competition consisted of two rounds: theoretical and practical.
The prize winners included:
- Sulima Kateryna, a 9th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Shulevskyi Serhiy);
- Pastoshchuk Artem, an 11th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 (teacher Yastremska Svitlana).
Huyvan Ksenia, a 10th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum “Maryinsky,” received a participant diploma and gained valuable experience for future success.
Artem Pastoshchuk also received a special award for the best presentation on the topic “The Phenomenon of Urban Heat Islands.”
Additionally, the winners of the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Biology were announced, with over 170 students from grades 8-11 participating from all regions of Ukraine and Kyiv. The closing ceremony took place in Lviv region.
Second-degree diploma was awarded to Vidova Anna, an 8th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Ihnatyeva Liudmyla).
