Support for Persons with Disabilities in Ukraine

Due to the armed conflict in Ukraine, the number of individuals with disabilities is steadily increasing, particularly those with severe impairments such as amputations, spinal injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.

To restore their functionality and facilitate effective rehabilitation, specialized assistance tools are required.

The government ensures access to modern prosthetics and other rehabilitation aids that help regain lost abilities, adapt to new living conditions, and return to active participation in society.

All relevant information about the government prosthetics program is available on the online platform protez.msp.gov.ua, launched by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities.

Within the framework of the program, individuals can receive prosthetics or other rehabilitation aids free of charge, as well as repair and maintenance services. Support is provided at every stage — from application submission to receipt of the final product.

The free provision of rehabilitation aids to persons with disabilities is carried out through the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities. The Ministry of Social Policy continually improves the government program to make the process of obtaining aids as convenient and accessible as possible for citizens.
