Visit of the Swedish Red Cross Delegation to Odesa
Recently, a significant event took place in Odesa — a visit by a delegation led by the Secretary General of the Swedish Red Cross, Ulrika Modeer, as part of their collaboration with the Ukrainian Red Cross.
The Swedish representatives toured the Social Psychological Assistance Center, which provides support to internally displaced persons and those affected by armed conflict.
Julia Haidary, the director of the Odesa City Council Social Services Center, along with Lyudmila Tsvitkova, the head of the center, introduced the guests to the center's activities, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the Odesa regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross. Thanks to this partnership, displaced persons receive regular social and psychological support and participate in various activities aimed at adapting to their new environment.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ulrika Modeer highlighted the critical importance of building local capacity.
