Heroism and Achievements: Yevhen Kaus at the Invictus Winter Games

The Mayor of Odessa, Hennadii Trukhanov, awarded the Honorary Sign of 'Gratitude' to Yevhen Kaus, a participant of the Invictus Winter Games 2025.
Yevhen Kaus is a veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian war, a member of the 'Federation of Marine Multi-Sports of Ukraine' in the Odessa region, and a certified rowing coach.

During his military service, Yevhen fought on the Kherson front and sustained injuries. After returning to civilian life, he engaged in powerlifting and archery before becoming a rowing coach. In 2024, he completed a 55 km rowing distance with his team, earning the silver FORTIS ring as recognition. He also participated in the national selection for the Invictus Games and joined the Ukrainian team Invictus Games: Team Ukraine.

Yevhen Kaus represented Odessa at the first-ever Invictus Winter Games in Canada, competing in three sports: curling, biathlon, and skeleton.
This year, the Ukrainian team was represented by the largest contingent in history—35 military personnel and veterans.
