Innovative Approaches to Supporting Individuals with Disabilities
The Friedehorst foundation in Bremen is actively engaged in supporting individuals with disabilities of all ages, as well as the elderly. This organization exemplifies an effective approach to social services, rehabilitation, and adaptation.
During our visit, we explored the work of various departments within the foundation, including those focused on care for individuals with disabilities, rehabilitation programs for children and adults, and modern methods of elderly support.
For the Odessa region, this experience is extremely valuable, as we aim to enhance accessibility and create conditions for the social integration of all population groups. We discussed opportunities for collaboration in exchanging experiences, implementing contemporary rehabilitation technologies, and establishing training programs for specialists working with individuals with disabilities.
Special attention was given to developing long-term strategies for supporting socially vulnerable groups that could be adapted to our regional conditions.
We are grateful to our colleagues at Friedehorst for their openness and willingness to share their insights. Such collaboration is a vital step towards improving the quality of life for residents in the Odessa region.
