Investigation into Illegal Land Acquisition
Under the supervision of the Odessa regional prosecutor's office, a charge has been filed against the director of a construction company who unlawfully acquired a land plot using forged official documents (Part 2 of Article 28, Parts 3, 4 of Article 358, Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspects organized an illegal scheme to seize a land plot of 1 hectare that belongs to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine through the Odessa State Environmental University.
To implement their criminal plan, they used forged documents, entered false information into registries, falsified technical documentation, and involved straw persons.
As a result of these actions, the suspects illegally seized a land plot on Muscatna Street (formerly Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya) in Odessa, which they planned to sell for profit.
These illegal activities have caused damages to the state estimated at over 19 million hryvnias.
It should be noted that the damages have been fully compensated by canceling the ownership rights to the mentioned land plot.
The question of choosing a preventive measure for the suspects is currently being resolved, and other participants in the illegal scheme are being identified.
The preliminary investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Odesa Regional Police Department No. 1, with operational support from the Directorate of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine in Odesa.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
