Arrests of Saboteurs in Odesa Region
Under the supervision of the Odesa regional prosecutor's office, five residents of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district have been charged with sabotage, intentional damage to energy infrastructure, and property (Part 2 of Article 113, Part 2 of Article 194-1, Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspects received orders from an employee of Russian special services to carry out sabotage at Ukrainian Railways facilities and strategically important enterprises in exchange for monetary rewards.
Over the course of several months, they organized fires in relay and battery cabinets, transformer substations, as well as local government buildings.
The arson was conducted at night using flammable materials, special equipment to open cabinets, and pre-prepared transportation for quick movement between locations.
To confirm the execution of tasks, the suspects recorded their actions on video.
Currently, all five individuals are under preventive detention without the right to bail.
The preliminary investigation is conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
