New Travel Opportunities with Ukrainian Railways
A new social initiative titled «Travel with Ukrainian Railways» is set to launch in December, generating significant interest. General Director Oleksandr Percovskyi mentioned that work is currently underway to finalize all technical details.
As part of the «Travel with Ukrainian Railways» project, Ukrainians will be able to travel for free up to 3000 km over the span of four months, during the period when train services are less busy.
According to information from the UZ, there is an opportunity to offer up to 250,000 available seats on long-distance trains during this time. These seats will be included in the social program.
The focus will particularly be on passengers from frontline areas. It is important to note that no additional funding from the state budget is allocated for this program. The detailed implementation mechanism is still being developed.
