Visit of European Representatives to Odesa
Last week, Odesa welcomed representatives from European institutions — Ms. Katarina Maternova, the EU Ambassador to Ukraine, and Kristina Mikulova, head of the regional office of the European Investment Bank for Eastern Europe.
During their working visit, the delegation familiarized themselves with the operations of the repair workshops of KP «Odesmiskelektrotrans» and toured the electric transport museum, where a brief excursion was provided for the guests.
Last year, as part of the «Urban Public Transport of Ukraine» project, and with financial support from the European Investment Bank, multi-section Tatra trams were purchased.
These trams currently service route No. 7, providing comfortable transportation for Odesa residents.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of current and future initiatives aimed at modernizing urban transport, enhancing its efficiency and environmental sustainability.
This visit marked an important step in strengthening the partnership between Odesa, the European Union, and the European Investment Bank in the field of sustainable urban development.
