New Life-Saving Vests for Ukrainian Military Operations

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has unveiled a groundbreaking development in body armor designed to keep soldiers afloat in water with their gear. This announcement was made by the ministry.
These vests feature a modular design that includes a positive buoyancy element specifically engineered for water operations. It has been developed and approved by the Central Material Support Development Office.
In the event of water contact, this module transforms the vest into a flotation device capable of keeping a soldier buoyant while fully equipped, including weapons and ammunition. The implementation of such vests significantly reduces risks during water missions, whether at sea or while crossing waterways.
These vests are being utilized by the Naval Forces and special operations units conducting missions in coastal areas and on water.
It was previously reported that the Ministry of Defense is formulating standards to ensure the quality of defense procurements in line with NATO requirements. This will establish uniform qualification standards for personnel responsible for defense acquisitions, allowing for an assessment of their qualifications.
