Monobank Faces Outages Due to Service Overload
On October 16, the mobile app for Monobank experienced significant issues due to overwhelming demand. Users were unable to access the service. This was reported by co-founder Oleg Grokhovsky.
Currently, clients are unable to utilize the features of the mobile app – when attempting to log in, the system displays an error message.
Monobank announced that it has reached 10 million customers and launched an interactive game called "lemon hunting".
The demand for the game was so high that within the first 10 minutes, 10,000 users found 10 "lemons" each, causing the servers to crash under the load.
"Please, search for them a bit slower. Part of our functionality has died because of you. You've entered in such numbers into places where there were never this many people," Grokhovsky explained.
