Recovery of Residential Complex in Odesa After Storm
The Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, visited the residential complex located at 32 Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue, upon the invitation of the residents of the HOA «White House».
On September 30, 2025, heavy rainfall caused the parking lot to be completely flooded, damaging electrical, water, and heating systems, as well as the fire safety system of the 24-story building.
At the request of the Mayor, energy workers managed to temporarily restore power to the building while the recovery of utility systems is underway.
«We are sincerely grateful to the construction company “Stikon” for stepping in and purchasing electrical equipment for our building. Pumps are currently being installed to ensure water supply to the upper floors. I am assured that water will return to the residents by Thursday. However, it will take more time to fully restore heating and fire suppression systems,» — stated Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.
The building at 32 Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue was damaged during an enemy attack in February of this year. At that time, a children's clinic and a kindergarten were also destroyed. Currently, projects for the restoration of these two damaged facilities are undergoing examination, and the demolition of the kindergarten building is in progress — a new kindergarten is set to be built in its place.
