SECI Delegation Visits Odesa: Exploring New Avenues of Cooperation

The SECI delegation, led by Executive Coordinator Mr. Michael Facakas, recently visited Odesa. They brought humanitarian supplies, including generators, computer equipment, and medical devices for the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

Mr. Facakas confirmed that, as promised in the previous meeting, a new humanitarian shipment is being prepared specifically for Odesa.

During the dialogue, they discussed the urgent needs of the city and the expected challenges, particularly concerning the upcoming heating season.

“Thank you for supporting the southern communities and for our meaningful meeting. Our military has their tasks at the front, and we support them fully. However, here, their families, children, and displaced persons remain. We must ensure the city’s vitality and are working on it despite all difficulties,” emphasized Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Additional energy sources, particularly solid-fuel boilers, could provide vital support for Odesa. Currently, the city has 8 such facilities in reserve, but the Odesa city council is considering increasing this number in light of potential attacks on critical infrastructure.

“We will return to you very soon,” assured Mr. Michael Facakas.
