Community Cleanup in Odessa: Celebrating World Cleanup Day
Last Saturday, a community cleanup took place in Odessa's T.G. Shevchenko Park, in honor of World Cleanup Day.
This initiative was organized by the nationwide youth movement Let’s do it Ukraine and the international movement Let’s Do It World. It also saw participation from the employees of the municipal enterprise "Miskzelentrest."
Approximately 200 volunteers participated in the cleanup, collecting litter from the park. "Miskzelentrest" facilitated the removal of waste.

On September 20, 2025, Ukraine joined millions of activists from 211 countries in celebrating World Cleanup Day. Residents of cities, towns, and villages united for a common goal: cleaning the environment of litter and promoting a culture of cleanliness. In 2024, over 404,000 participants joined the initiative, cleaning more than 26,000 locations across 24 regions. Ukrainians abroad also participated in the event. According to international rankings, Ukraine ranked 11th among 211 participating countries.
