Preserving the Kuyalnik Estuary: An Ecological Initiative
The Kuyalnik National Nature Park has launched a new initiative aimed at increasing public awareness about the alarming state of the Kuyalnik Estuary.
This was reported by the State Ecological Inspection of the Southwestern District.
On September 12, participants discussed a number of critical environmental issues, including heightened water mineralization, the need for salt removal from the estuary, and the threat of losing a unique natural environment.
Officials from the ecological inspection – the deputy head and the head of the water resources department – gave an interview to the channel «We-Ukraine». They spoke about documented violations of environmental legislation in the estuary basin and the measures being taken to protect it.
The ecological inspection urged local residents to be conscious and responsible: to avoid polluting the protected water zone and to report any violations to the administration of the Kuyalnik National Nature Park or to the ecological inspection.
