Establishment of Electronic Warfare Forces Day in Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the establishment of Electronic Warfare Forces Day, which will be commemorated every year on September 12.
This was reported by Zelensky.
The decree states that the holiday was introduced "with the aim of fostering national military traditions, considering the role of electronic warfare forces in defending against armed aggression towards Ukraine, as well as providing electromagnetic protection for critical infrastructure".
The decree took effect upon publication.
Zelensky also congratulated the military personnel on their professional holiday, emphasizing that EW soldiers "work invisibly but expertly for the defense of Ukraine".
"Electronic warfare soldiers neutralize enemy drones and missiles, protect positions, maintain communication between units, and help keep our warriors safe. Thank you to each and every one of you for this critical work. You save lives every day and strengthen our army. We will always remember and be grateful to those who gave their lives in this war. Eternal memory. Thank you. Happy Electronic Warfare Forces Day" — stated Zelensky.
