New Inclusive Beach Opens in Odesa: Accessibility for Everyone

On July 1, 2025, a new beach was inaugurated at the 11th station of the Great Fountain, symbolizing the commitment to accessibility in Odesa. This initiative allows veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other mobility-impaired groups to enjoy the seaside.

The inclusive beach serves as a prime example of how urban spaces can evolve. Tetyana Lomakina, the President's Advisor on Accessibility Issues in Ukraine, highlighted the significance of this project during her visit to Odesa. She commended the city's efforts in creating a welcoming environment for all citizens. According to Lomakina, the construction process was closely monitored to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.

“Step by step, we are transforming the coastline into a barrier-free space. The beach is rarely empty, attracting both tourists and local residents,” said the Advisor.
