Fatal Incident After a Dinner Dispute
During a quarrel following a festive dinner, one participant turned out to be deadly dangerous.
The police reported this.
The incident took place in June last year. Investigators found that a 39-year-old man in a village of the Tairov community had a dispute with a 30-year-old acquaintance after a shared celebration. During the conflict, the guest grabbed a knife and stabbed the host in the back.
Realizing what he had done, the assailant called the police and an ambulance. Upon arrival, the medics confirmed the victim's death. According to the forensic examination, the cause of death was acute blood loss due to a stab wound to the chest.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with procedural rules. Subsequently, the court chose to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
During the pre-trial investigation, which was under the supervision of the Chornomorsk district prosecutor's office, police gathered enough evidence to charge the detainee with murder.
The indictment under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was sent to court. At the hearing, the accused admitted his guilt, blaming it on alcohol. Considering the sincere remorse of the defendant, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to eight years in prison.
