Ukrzaliznytsia Takes Action Against Ticket Purchase Abuses
Ukrzaliznytsia has blocked 271 clients who were abusing the ticket purchasing application.
This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Users of these accounts attempted to use the UZ app, designed for individual ticket purchases, for other purposes:
- they created multiple linked accounts and bought a small number of tickets to bypass the blocking;
- they tried to hold tickets without proceeding to payment (obviously waiting for an "order");
- they purchased many tickets under different names and committed other actions that were detected by the antifraud system.
"Similar to financial institutions, Ukrzaliznytsia has strengthened client identification and deployed a monitoring system for abnormal user activities while using our online services," the statement said.
