Advancing Accessibility in Odessa
The initiative «Barrier-Free Movement» is currently being implemented in Odessa.
A recent online meeting was held with the central office team of the «Barrier-Free Movement» initiative, led by the Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksii Kuleba, and Deputy Minister Nataliia Kozlovska.
During the meeting, attendees discussed the progress of the project in Odessa, including existing initiatives and future steps.
The city has received new proposals for implementing barrier-free solutions that are now transitioning into practical applications. Key priorities include engaging businesses in adapting entrances to commercial establishments in line with modern building standards.
Some reconstruction work has already commenced in areas designated for the first phase of the barrier-free route.
Odessa remains a leader in implementing accessibility solutions.
