Unusual Escape Attempt: Man Tried to Cross Border with a Paraglider
The Border Guard Service reported the arrest of a man who tried to escape to Moldova using a paraglider.
This information was shared on the DGS's Telegram channel.
According to the report, a 48-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi decided to cross the border with a paraglider he purchased online for 500 euros. He chose a field near the border for takeoff and planned to fly without any documents or navigation, relying solely on his eyesight.
Border guards from the Mohyliv-Podilskyi unit stopped him before he could take off.
The service concluded: "The violator was detained and held accountable under administrative law."
