Improving Accessibility in Odessa
Odessa's Deputy Mayor, Serhiy Kotsyuba, held a meeting with an expert group focused on barrier-free initiatives.
The main goal is to create safe and comfortable conditions for the movement of persons with disabilities, veterans, and other mobility-impaired populations.
The analysis of routes is currently underway: assessing the condition of pedestrian infrastructure, tourist sites, service areas, and navigation systems.
“We want every visitor and resident of Odessa to experience the city as not just beautiful, but truly accessible,” emphasized the advisor to the Mayor of Odessa, Oleksiy Morozov.
The work on the routes will be carried out in several phases and will include consultations with the public, experts, and representatives of mobility-impaired groups.
