Tragedy in Odesa: Three Lives Claimed by the Sea

In the Odesa region, three people have drowned in one day. Currently, rescuers are looking for a boy born in 2009. This incident occurred due to worsening weather conditions. The mayor of Chornomorsk, Vasyl Huliaiev, announced that 50 individuals were rescued during the storm.

The State Emergency Service reported that a boy went missing while swimming in Chornomorsk. The incident happened on Beach Street on July 28. Rescuers received the alert at 5:00 PM.

"A boy born in 2009 has gone missing in the sea at the central beach of the city. Due to adverse weather conditions (strong winds and high waves), diving operations have been deemed impossible. Search efforts commenced this morning," the agency stated.

Overall, three individuals were reported to have drowned, as confirmed by medical personnel. Mayor Vasyl Huliaiev also mentioned that 50 people were rescued the previous day.

He noted that all emergency services were operating in an extraordinary mode due to the storm, aiming to provide necessary assistance as quickly as possible. However, people often disregard basic safety rules at the beach.

Huliaiev also warned that today, July 29, swimming would be prohibited. He urged everyone to adhere to safety regulations.
