Forecast on Russian Disinformation Tactics
The Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council forecasts that in the coming two weeks, Russian propaganda will intensify the use of protest themes in Ukraine within its information campaigns.
This was reported by the CCD on Facebook.
«It is expected that hostile resources will spread false claims that the Ukrainian people allegedly demand «capitulation», «overthrow of the government» and «end the war at any cost», - the statement reads.
Additionally, an escalation of enemy information operations aimed at residents of frontline regions in Ukraine is anticipated.
«In particular, false reports about the supposed evacuation of military administration workers, provocative «leaks» purporting to come from Ukrainian military or local authorities, etc., will be spread to intimidate people and create the impression of a collapse in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine», - the CCD noted.
It is also expected that Russians will continue their information manipulations — from attempts to discredit Ukraine regarding negotiations in Istanbul to the promotion of prisoner exchange topics and undermining trust in Ukrainian air defense forces.
Russian media are spreading a fake narrative that Ukrainian servicemen freed from Russian captivity are allegedly facing criminal charges for desertion.
