Presidential Meeting with Law Enforcement: Steps Towards Justice

President Volodymyr Zelensky convened leaders of law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies, emphasizing the importance of constructive collaboration.

The head of state shared this information on social media.

Zelensky described the dialogue as "open and productive". He mentioned that the parties agreed to hold a "deep working meeting next week to discuss a common action plan". According to him, a joint plan will be ready in two weeks, outlining the necessary steps to bolster Ukraine and ensure fairness for its citizens.

The president released a group photo with all meeting participants.

Direct quote: "I thank all participants of our meeting today: SBU, NABU, SAP, NAPK, DBR, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Attorney General. I appreciate the readiness to work as a team for the interests of Ukraine. We agreed that everyone will work exclusively constructively.

We hear what society is saying. We see what people expect from state institutions to ensure justice and effectiveness. We discussed necessary administrative and legislative measures that will strengthen the work of each institution and resolve existing discrepancies. Everyone will work together, and we will support this at the political level".

Why this matters: President Zelensky has not yet directly addressed the recently signed law that limits the powers of anti-corruption institutions, nor the protests against this law that took place near the Presidential Office.
