Collaborative Initiative Against Drones

The Ukrainian firm Odd Systems has announced a strategic partnership with the Danish defense corporation Terma Group to develop an affordable drone interceptor utilizing artificial intelligence.

The press release highlighted that the main challenge of interceptor drones lies in the integration of detection, tracking, and neutralization of enemy UAVs using autonomous systems.

The types of Russian drones that need to be countered vary widely, ranging from FPV and tactical copters like Mavic to fixed-wing operational drones like Zala and long-range strike drones like Shahed.

"Terma and Odd Systems will combine their existing solutions while developing a comprehensive suite of products to counter these and other aerial threats," noted Odd Systems.

Odd Systems is a defense technology company based in Kyiv, specializing in the development of thermal imaging cameras and FPV drones.

The company supplies the FPV aerial interceptor platform Gorska-12, as well as strike FPV platforms "Stus-7" and "Lupinis-10". Additionally, they have developed and manufactured thermal cameras for FPV drones Kurbas-256 and Kurbas-640 in Ukraine.

Terma A/S is the largest Danish manufacturer of defense and aerospace products for both civilian and military applications. Their offerings include radar systems, avionics, and space electronics. Defense Express also noted that Terma is a supplier of components for the F-35.

Recently, Arsen Zhumadilov, the director of the Defense Procurement Agency, announced that they have contracted tens of thousands of interceptor drones.
