New Law on Dual Citizenship in Ukraine
On Tuesday, President Volodymyr Zelensky officially signed into law the provisions regarding dual citizenship.
This announcement was made by Zelensky himself.
He emphasized that he approved the legislation passed by the Verkhovna Rada on June 18, which introduces amendments related to acquiring and retaining Ukrainian citizenship.
"By implementing dual citizenship, we will create more solid legal foundations for the unity of our great nation – millions of Ukrainians across all continents, as well as those from other nations who have linked their fate with Ukraine", he highlighted.
According to the president, Ukraine can now begin identifying the first partner states with which dual citizenship will be established.
