Commemorative Coin Celebrating the Vampire Bomber Drone
The National Bank of Ukraine has launched a new commemorative coin marking the third anniversary of the Vampire bomber drone.
The Vampire drones have conducted over 1 million combat missions, capable of carrying up to 15 kg of payload, and are feared by enemies who refer to them as «Baba Yaga».
These drones can ascend to altitudes of up to 500 meters and have a recommended flight range of up to 15 km.
This Ukrainian hexacopter has proven to be an efficient tool for target engagement, remote mining, and humanitarian assistance.
The press service of the National Bank revealed that the coin's design was created by Ukrainian artists Volodymyr Taran, Oleksandr Kharuk, and Serhiy Kharuk.
The coin, with a denomination of 5 hryvnias, is part of the «Armed Forces of Ukraine» series titled «Ukrainian Cotton. UAV Vampire».
The mintage of the coin is set at 75 thousand pieces.
The obverse depicts a war-torn landscape, defensive trenches, a destroyed enemy tank engulfed in flames, and above the field, the silhouette of the Vampire drone in flight.
The reverse features the Vampire hexacopter dropping munitions, with a backdrop of clouds and lightning, symbolizing the drone's speed, accuracy, and power.
